The pen is too short, small and heavy. Difficult for me to hold because I am older and no longer have moisturized finger tips.I've used Cross pens for decades. They were superior to other pens because the ink would never glob up at the point. However, my most recent purchase of one about a year ago I've been having to wipe globs of ink off the point of the pen. It's lesser amount and frequency than I have to do with other pens, but I never had to do this before. The quality isn't the same, and I always buy Cross brand refill cartridges. The stylus at the top of the pen is helpful when needing to move the insertion point in a text or document on a mobile phone, when a finger just can't do it. One of the pen's downsides is that it's smooth surface is slippery.I recommend the product because it's still much better than all other pens I've used, but it is disappointing to experience the decline in quality.I like the matte finish. It's easier to get a good grip on the pen while writingLove this pen over the Tech3 since it's just a two function design, very sleek without any embellishments that could get caught on any clothing or pockets.I bought this as a gift for a graduation, but it arrived without a stylus tip on it, and the box was badly damaged. I attempted to contact Amazon, I was redirected to Cross; long story short, I never found a solution so I just bought a pack of replacement tips for it. By the time they arrived, I had gotten so comfortable with the pen that I ended up just buying another one for my sister, and keeping this one. Pen works fantastically-stylus is… ehhh. (but most others are totally useless, in my opinion) weight and balance are spot on, as per usual for a Cross. Ink flow is perfection, and I simplest cannot go anywhere without it now!Has a great appearance - Cross makes good pens at a reasonable priceCROSS TECH 2 CHROME DUAL-FUNCTION. Pen: great. Ink cartridge: great. Stylus: C- to D.... If you have stylus problems too, your best bet might be to unscrew the CROSS stylus tip, and replace it with a tip from the following: FRIENDLY SWEDE Replacement Fiber Tips For 3-in-1 Hybrid Pen. (Six Pack). The screw patterns on the CROSS and F. S. tips don't quite match, so the F. S. tip wii only go in half-way, but when tightened, the F. S. tip should be straight as an arrow and solid as a rock. And the F. S. tip is 1000 times better than the CROSS tip. (Though the F. S. tip looks slightly kookie on the oh-so-aesthetically wonderful CROSS Pen). (What do ya want--Form or Function???)Wow... a real Cross pen with a stylus included! This is also less thin and with a larger diameter where it counts when writing or using the stylus. I have large fingers and from the beginning of the smartphone takeover, I have sought out so many different styluses and stylus styles! (Try writing or saying that fast). Cross pens have been a very respectable and high end gift since I can remember. The only negative was the thin design for me (way before I needed a stylus). This is a great gift for anyone. Especially those who carry a nice quality pen and will now have a second function for this really nice accessory. I got a couple of ink refills and stylus tip extras to make the Cross pen into an item that won’t get lost so easily as many less cool pens. The stylus is nice and not too close to any clips or holders which makes the ability for my easier stylus usage and precision.I have an older model of this pen and this one is awful in comparison. The problem? I had to return the first one I received because the writing tip did not entend far enough out. This makes writing a pain when you can't see when the tip reaches the paper. It's only a couple of millimetres but that small difference makes all the difference. I returned it for an exchange and the replacement arrived today and it is worse than the one I returned. This one is going back also.I have owned Cross pens for more than 40 years and still use my Black Lacquer ballpoint every day. The new 'Made in China' Cross Pens are nothing like real Cross pens. Pretending to be a Premium Brand whilst shifting production to China doesn't sit well with me. The mechanisms are nothing like Cross Pens used to be.Looks like I will not be buying Cross Pens anymore which is a shame. I'm left handed and my older Cross pens have always been great to write with. Even my 4 or 5 year old version of the Tech 2 is great to write with. Why? Because I can see the writing tip. It's the one thing to get 100% correct and these new Chinese versions fail miserably. Now I have to find another brand of pen which is Ruddy annoying.I like Cross - they make stylish, robust pens. Thought I would try this as I often use stylus tips on my touch screens. It does look good. Sleek and red with a lovely brushed metal body. Twist and you're away with the nib. I do prefer a chunkier grip though and while it is comfortable I wouldn't use this as a constant writing companion as it can get a little slippery after long use.The stylus works fine, it's a little harder than other tips I've used but hopefully that means it will last longer.Solid purchase if you want a combined pen/stylus.I love Cross pens for 30+ years but this design is very disappointing. It's got a twist function for the refill to drop down, but it wont stay down unfortunately- every 3/4 lines you have to twist the nib back down again. It's a pain!I ordered it in both red and black, expecting them to be perfect, but I've had to return both as a similair issue was present. So it's a design issue. My house is littered with discarded smartphone styluses with missing stylus tips. (Must have a clear out.) Cross, a great pen company anyway, have introduced a range of ball-point pens with screw-in styluses. Not cheap, but worth the money. Mine is from the cheapest of the range and is just perfect. Replacement styluses are available in packs of two. Add an Apple self-adhesive pen holder and there you have everything you need in a smartphone pocket wallet.Ordered this as I wanted a pen that was also a stylus but one with quality I was therefore happy to pay the almost £20 it cost me. The packaging was superb but when I took out the pen I was more than a little disappointed it works ok but it seems little different to my much cheaper ballpens. Perhaps there was an alternative to this gift package but I didn't see it.Overall I consider this pen well overpriced so be careful when ordering
