So far it's been working great! It gives the sound a little more detail than the needle that came with the turntable, which I assume was the cheapest they could get; this one's made in Switzerland, which is refreshing.I ordered two of them, and the package was delivered in time and without any damage; they even included a business card in the package, very professional service. I would highly recommend this stylus for compatible cartridges (I use it in a Pyle PLTTB1 turntable connected to a Pyle Phono pre-amp and then hooked up to my Home Theater system and the sound's great!).I will update the review with further information after a while; I play records almost daily for about 2 hours and it would be interesting to find out how durable they are... *** UPDATE ***The first ones I ordered have been working great, I haven't even opened the second one. Seeing how good they are and after getting a bunch of used records, I decided to get 3 more to have a stock for a long time; this time they were ordered from another seller, and they were absolutely horrible. They were in tiny plastic boxes that wouldn't even say where they were manufactured. You could literally see through the thin cheap red plastic of the needle base, and the sound was mono and distorted.Amazon's return process is really good; I contacted the seller, got my return label and shipped them back for a refund.My Fisher turntable is ancient, and the needle well over a decade old. The original stylus was ST-868-J, and after lengthy internet research I was able to determine I needed Stylus ST-09. I paniced, because there was a "D" in the code, so I was not sure if I ordered the right one. Well, I did! Sometimes when you order and get the right item at a great price you feel like you've won the lottery! The clarity of my records improved immensely. The trebles didn't flatten out, and the lows were a lot fuller. My only regret is that I did't order two of them, which I will do before the year is out. At this price (and I did shop around), it will be a very inexpensive stand-by.I had purchased a Sanyo stereo cabinet and system from goodwill and the needle on the record player obviously wasn't functioning (it had trouble tracking and bad sound quality). After taking the needle off, I found the manufacturing number and typed that in to Amazon and found this. Great replacement needle for the price.This cartridge comes ready to snap in and continue transferring LPs. When we first started research on replacement needles, it appeared the needle for our ION turntable would be a costly item to replace. With further research, we found this unit which snaps in easily and works great. It was also available at a much more reasonable price than the first needles we found. We always keep an extra because they wear out and that affects the quality of the electronic transfer of music to the computer.It is a functional stylus that fit my Fisher MT-420 turntable. It reproduces the sound just like the original did when new.Seeing as the needle broke on the last one I got and had to be replaced with this one I cannot give it five stars. It works fine though and I know the sound could definitely be better, the price helps keep the records spinning roundIt was hard to pick a Stylus from a little pic. I had the old one but still... My turntable is a Fisher so just went from there to order. It was the right choice!!! It fit easily and perfectly!!
